My name is Kevin Capito. I'm 26, and I'm self-employed in the fields of Japanese language and cultural mediation. I studied modern Japan and Japanese culture at the University of Düsseldorf, and I did a foreign exchange year at the Kwansei-Gakuin-University in Nishinomiya. I've been living in Osaka with my wife since April 2019, and I keep learning more and more about how the Japanese people live and think.
I keep thinking about their business mentality and why they could make decisions that might seem strange to people from the west. The language has been a big part of my fascination with Japan. I passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in the summer of 2018. I want to allow as many people as possible to learn everything they need to know about Japan, its people, its culture, and its language. This is what project "NihonGo" is all about! Let's discover and understand Japan together.
